Burnet, Texas

Driving through Burnet I spotted a car show. Of course, I had to stop and check out their cars - no foreign cars to report of. We also noticed a fun run was finishing up. The whole time we were in town there was a high amount of airplane traffic over the town. Heading south on 281, traffic slowed and I realized why there was so much airplane traffic and car traffic - the local airport was having a display. Being an airplane nut, I thought about stopping but I was getting hungry. Plus, I am on the flight line every week and around many of these types of airplanes without having to pay. I know, the show probably benefitted the community but I really was more interested in getting to the Salt Lick. I still could not get over how busy this little town was.
