Johnson City and The Feed Mill
(as of our last trip, The Feed Mill is now closed)
Half way between Austin and Fredericksburg sits Johnson City. The city's claim to fame is having been Lyndon B. Johnson's childhood home (the city gets its name from the Johnson Settlements, though, and not because of LBJ). But, to be honest, the only reason we stopped was because of The Feed Mill and the adjoining theater. As you may have guessed from this picture, you can expect to find some very interesting (non-traditional) antiques, including 4 slot machines ($38,000), rifles and an old "IBM". Behind the restaurant you will also find a cafe (we didn't get a chance to try it).
